Key Responsibilities
- Define and document manufacturing methods, processes, and routings
- Conduct contract reviews for new orders
- Develop technical manufacturing requirements, including:
- Process setup and cycle times
- Tolerances and specifications
- Prepare dimensional control documentation and manufacturing drawings (where required)
- Determine tooling and fixturing requirements
- Support job scheduling and workflow planning
- Manage projects, including:
- Customer liaison
- Progress tracking
- Reporting
- Drive continuous improvement through post-job reviews
- Provide ongoing customer support and communication
- Collaborate with Sales, Production, and Technical teams
- Assist with feasibility studies for new processes, equipment, and capabilities
Skills & Experience
- CNC machining experince welcomed
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes within a precision engineering or metal components environment
- Experience with CAD drafting and technical drawings
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and customer requirements
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Tertiary qualification in CNC Machining and Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (preferred), or significant industry experience
